First off the souncard I use is the turtle beach santa cruz thats works fine. (In mp3, DiVx, CD Audio, Gaming...)
I ran windows update a couple days ago and installed a couple things... XP SP1 and Media Player 9... Yes I know its beta but I expected better than this from microsoft!

Problems I have experienced:
- No audio while streaming media
- No audio while playing WMA Files (window media audio)
- No audio while playing WMV Files (window media video)

Someone please help me.... I already tried reinstalling the sound card and the media player...
For some odd reason the restore feature within Windows doesn't want to work correctly... I have the option turned on within the control panel and have system checkpoints but I always get the same error message "Windows can't restore system, no changes have been made"

Thanks in advance,
Frozen

ummm why did you install the beta

SP1 comes with WMP 9 the full thing

that could be your problem if you installed the beta on top of the full version

otherwise I don't know

Because it's still in beta and it is NOT included in SP1.
