Windows Media Player replacement

Does anyone know of a good, reliable Media player that will do what Windows version does? I like Quick time but it doesn't do AVI and such. THanks!
 
I'm not sure what it is about WiMP you don't like, so this suggestion might sound odd..... Windows Media Player Classic.

For an MP3 player anyway, nothing beats RealJukebox IMO. Too bad it hasn't been updated in like 7 years, since they switched to the god-awful RealOne.
