Windows media player plays movies too light

I can't find any options in my Media Player, but the problem is not my monitor.

Videos play fine under VLC and in Youtube, but on WMP, the video is too light.

Any help?

I'm using Media Player 10 and in the upper, left corner there is a small button that looks like an eject button (small button with a down arrow shape on it). I clicked on that and chose Enhancements. Under that, I checked Video Settings. There are four settings there:

Hue, Brightness, Saturation and Contrast.

(You can also right click on the title bar and then select Enhancements from there).

I tried those settings, but nothing changes.

I've tried both ends of the spectrums for all the settings and I can't see a difference.

Do you?

I just tried them on a small clip and they worked for me. I'm not sure what to suggest now.
