Hey All,
New to the forum. Hi and thanks in advance for any help.
My problem is not as simple as the subject would make it seem. I've gone through everything I can find to solve this issue.
The problem: I have two laptops, both running Windows 7 64-bit. I have set both up to share media as recommended. I have checked media streaming settings, made sure my HomeGroup settings are all dialed in ad shared all my libraries and folders. Yet, one of the two laptops does not show up on the network under WMP. Further, I can't stream out from that computer. The other laptop? No problem. All works well. I can even see the problem computer on the Homegroup, navigate to the music folder, view all the files but try to play one and I'm told I don't have access.
I also have a DLNA compliant network speaker. I can stream to that speaker from the one laptop but not the other, which refuses to show up as a media center on the network.
Further, I can see all DLNA devices, including Android devices running DLNA clients. I just can't share media with them.
Hope to hear some novel ideas! Thanks again.
