hi all
i got a new camcorder that records stuff and saves it as the "mpeg" format.

But when i open it in Windows media player it plays but iget no sound.

I never had this problem but how do i fix it.

thanks

I'm guessing it's a codec related issue. You could download VLC Player and try and play your video to see if you get proper sound. You could also download Media Player Classic + the K-Lite Codec pack and that should play your video with sound.

You could also try my favorite media player, the GOM media player. Just press number keys to change the size with number 9 being full screen regardless of the original aspect ratio. Bring up the control panel to change brightness, hue, set start/end replay points, etc. When installing, check the mpeg format if you want it to be your default mpeg video player though you could do that later if you wish. It's free.
