Windows Media Player no longer opens movies from IE7.

I used to be able to click on a video link, and WMP would open and play it. For some reason it doesn't work anymore and I get the error: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage."

What could be the problem?

I'm using Vista, WMP11 and IE7.
 
I have the same issue since last week. I have not installed a new media player (like VLC) so I don't know what the issue is.

This only occurs in IE7. Outside, using Windows Explorer, no issues.
