windows media player "library" w/ mp3 player?

I am trying to get the media player library to "work with me"... I have a zen - and bought the "notmad explorer" software which works so-so... I had a friend (who knows about tech stuff.. not an idiot) swear that media player 11 works much better than the notmad stuff.

So... WTF... media player itself might work fine - but it keeps automatically adding sh!t to my library. VERY frustrating. Is there a way to stop media player from automatically adding any mp3/folder to the library? I tried the whole hitting f3 thing and deleting all of the folders but the ones I want but no luck - as soon as I play an mp3 I DON'T want in my library it adds that folder.

i have wmp 10 but the settings should roughly be the same for wmp11. Look in tools-options-player tab and find a checkmark that says "add music files to the library when played" and uncheck that and hit apply and that should make it so when you play a file it wont be added the library. If you dont see that option just try looking around for something similar in other tabs.

that option is set to off (no)... and was set that way since I started trying to sync my mp3 player to my pc, bleh.... maybe i should just go back to freakin notmad. arg.
