I have an acer laptop that came with windows vista. All of a sudden media player wont work unless I uninstall the sound driver . It ofcourse then works but no sound. I get a message saying the driver isnt suitable for vista contact acer. If its the one that came with the laptop why now. I tried going to the link provided and no luck there.
 
Go here, aremed with your notebook model, etc., find the current sound driver, download, and install.
