What is 'mathmatically lossless' and how does that differ from just plan ol' lossless?

Can anyone explain this first instead of going off topic about playlists and what not.

!
And anyway, you are telling everyone to go hunt for an illegal version of WMP. A leaked version is not legal. Its been stolen. Yeah, MS will give it out for free later, but that doesn't make it legal now.

Who do you think "leaked it"? Could it have been, maybe, Microsoft? First time around the block I see. Enjoy the sights!

The leaked version of Windows Media Player 9 is NOT illegal! It is NOT warez or anything resembling warez. Get a clue- but make sure you keep "criticize" on full throttle! What have YOU done for anybody, lately.

Thanks for the move, Mods. Didn't realize when I posted in OT I was posting in "the lions den"!

Mathematically lossless = lossless.

Very nice. Its much better than previous releases. Hell, if you keep all of your music in the my music folder, itll create the album art for you. Pretty sweet, although it doesnt get every CD, and its got the wrong picture for half of them...

I installed it and it had issue running some of my videos files.
I encode videos with all kinds of different codexes and it crashes playing almost half of them.
WMP 8 did not have any of these issues.
Also, it keeps trying to access the internet, even when I was not using the program.
I blocked it using my firewall and it stop working completely.
I used the xp restore feature to return to WMP 8 and it returned to normal.
I use Zoomplayer for videos,
EAC and Lame for rippin,
and winamp to play mp3's.

Sorry Bill, I am not Havin it!
Keep that sneaky software to yourself.
