Windows media player 8 download?

I could be wrong but I don't think there is a DL location for WMP8. It was released with WinXP and AFAIK that is the only way to get it. Like I say I could be wrong, perhaps someone else can help.

bump, i remebered i downloaded on a windows beta site somewhere before.

wait for a couple of week.. and you'll get WMP 9

Media Player 8 WAS released for windows 2000, but only UNOFFICALLY (read: It was a pirate release ARGG ) So if you are running 2000 it is possible to get WiMP 8, but it is not offical. I have run it though and I must say it seems to run flawlessly on 2k.
