My friend just recorded some footage from a vcr using his ati-all-in wonder and saved the video as an avi. When he views it in Media Player 7, he is able to see it. When i tried running the video using Media Player 7, i just got the audio but not the video. Does anyone know to fix this problem?

usually the media player itself will connect to the microsoft's website and download the appropriate codec (ActiveX).

Ask yer friend what codec they used or check the file properties in the player. It is prolly a proprietary ATI one. Do a google search for codec. There are a few sites where you can fetch 'em all from.
