Do any of you guys know how to get rid of the file history for Windows Media Player? It's just bugging me and with other players I can delete the history however, I want to use WMP because it has the best file support. If you all could give me any advice I'd be greatly obliged. :)

Hi Mith....easiest way I know of, go here..WindowsMedia....Download Windows Media Player Bonus Pack...if using WinMe/Win98/2K get version 7.1....if XP get XP version....install....then after, go to Start----program files-----Windows Media Player Bonus Pack--- then Windows Media Player MRU Cleaner.....file history is "history"....hope that works for ya.

Registry editing time. Exit WMP 7.1.
The list of recent files should be here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\RecentFileList
Remove the entries there; that should take care of it.
I installed the Bonus Pack, and I didn't see that MRU removal link.
