Windows Media Player 10: last 30 secs, no vid

I've installed WMP10 and I've found that no matter what video I play (divx, xvid, avi, mpeg), the last 30 seconds or so go blank. I can still hear the audio. If I have several vids in a play list, the subsequent ones are blank. Once a video goes blank and I scrub back to an earlier point, it remains blank. I have to stop and double click on the playlist again to get the vid to play.
I never had these problems with WMP9. I tried to uninstall WMP10 and reinstall 9, but WinXP won't allow it.

I would, anyway, prefer to get the no vid problem fixed for WMP10.

I've uninstalled all the "extra" codec programs like FFDshow, K-lite, Divx, and reinstall WMP10 a few times now. Computer is virus free, Adware free. Ran Registry Mechanic. Nothing seems to help.

Thanks,

Have you tried playing them in a good player, such as BSPlayer, Zoomplayer, or Media Player Classic? Search Sourceforge for the downloads.

I have tried the vids in the DIVX player, and they played to the end. That's why I figure that there is something wrong with WMP10.

If I cannot solve this problem, I will likely switch to another player, but I like the Trubass and WOW of WMP>

WMP 9 and 10 pissed me off this weekend with their lack of ability to switch audio streams without additional software DLed and installed for them.

I switch to Media Player Classic.
