Windows Media Player 10 and Mozilla Firefox?

I am using the most current Mozilla Firefox browser.

It can't play Windows Media content embedded in website, saying I need to install an unknown plug (WMP).

The Dell e1705 laptop I am using came preinstalled with Windows Media Player 10.

Can I also install Windows Media Player 9 on the same computer?

Or is there a more elegant fix for this problem in Mozilla Firefox?

Mozilla FireFox doesn't support ActiveX natively, you need to add support for it: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=206213

Also you can't install WMP9 and WMP10 side-by-side reliably (at least not without tons of hacking).
