Windows Media Encoder Software for OS X?

I've been told that you can't record audio for Windows Media Player on OS X because it's lacking the windows media encoder software. Is this true? No other way?

There's this, but I can't comment on it. I can say that the Mac version of WMP is an absolute piece of crap with almost no redeeming qualities.

Because it's for a website that does streaming radio and Windows Media is the only format they have.

Well, I can think of one. Streaming wmv content where there is no QT version. Otherwise, I agree...POS.

Well, I can think of one. Streaming wmv content where there is no QT version. Otherwise, I agree...POS.

Even then it's not guaranteed to work. If there's a choice, I go QT -> Real -> WM. The new version of RealPlayer is very nice.
