Windows Media Center

Why is it laggy, stops and skips at times, even though my system has 4 GB of ram ? Mostly does it when I minimize, maximum, and start checking the anandtech forums with firefox. When I have it open it almost uses a good 1 GB of ram. I see ram usuage jump from 900 MB to about 1.9 GB.

This is the Windows Media Center within Windows Vista 64 bit.

Do you have a tv tuner installed?
If you do make sure you have the latest driver.
Mine is a Vista 64 Premium (see sig #2).
In fact I have it connected to my xbox 360 Live in another room where I can watch HD-TV programmings from my own bedroom.
By far it's the best MCE I've had as compared to the MCE05.

yeah...i've noticed it is laggy on my comp too. I have vista home premium with 2.5 gigs of ram. I just think really buggy.

You only have 4gb? I thought you said everybody was gonna have 8gb by the end of june, and anything else was simply too obsolete to even run!
