Windows Media Center... wtf.

I'm having kind of a crazy problem with the MCE program itself... I recently setup a box to use as a DVR / HTPC, and bought WMCE to use on it.

but for some reason, every time I try to setup the television configuration, it tells me tuner not found 😕 all firm-ware and patches are up to date, and here's the real kicker -- I installed BeyondTV on the same box and the tuners work fine!

also tried reformatting the box, but no change. anyone have any thoughts on what could be causing this? I'm using 3x hauppauge 150 MCE's.

(on a side note, anyone know of a hack to get MCE to work with multiple tuners? the whole reason I'm setting this up and abandoning my tivo is to be able to record multiple shows simultaneously)

install a software decoder... I had the same issue.. the Nvidia decoder works great with MCE.

Instead of reinstalling, try Uninstall the drivers, the Add new hardware. Get the Hauppauge MCE drivers. I had a similar problem, with 2 PVR250s and a Fusion Gold. Even though the OS saw the cards, they needed to be found again by the system. Kinda strange, but that was one of many issues I had with MCE 2005. Once its working tho, its pretty sweet.
