I am moving to a new room, were thinking about getting cable and getting rid of satellite. The problem is, iam relying on my dish network recever as a tuner. My hd tv doesn't have a tuner. I was thinking buying a dual tuner card, I already have media center. I wanted to have the ability to record tv and plus watch it on my 32" tv. I have a x1900xt with 2 dvi ports, which I could hook up to my tv. How stable is media center with a tuner card? Is the quality any good, i was looking at this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815116628.
Right now we have dvr, but soon to be getting regular cable. I would have my computer in one corner and my tv in the other, and just run a dvi cable to the tv. The thing is, how do i get the sound to come out of the tv, I have a audigy 2zs. Anybody have this card, and would like to help, that would be great.

OP, I have that exact same card and it works very well. Once I got all the bugs in my system ironed out, the system is rock solid. I usually only leave it on for 2 days at a time though. Ever since I've moved over to HD (OTA), I stopped using the PVR-500 MCE card.

Check out www.xpmce.com and www.thegreenbutton.com if you have issues. Those guys there know this stuff very well. If you have any questions, PM me.

Edit: Oops I forgot to answer your question about the sound.

With regards to your sound output, it depends if you're using the line out jacks (front/rear/side/center/sub) or the FlexiJack (3-in-1 function: Digital I/O, line in, mic) and what you're hooking the sound card up to.

I'm going to assume that your TV is going to be using stereo RCA jacks (red and white jacks). If this is the case, go to Radio Shack and get one of those 3.5mm wires that split into 2 RCA ports. Hook the 3.5mm end up to your sound card (line out--the green connector, if it's color-coded), then mate a set of stereo RCA cables to the TV.
