Windows Media Center question

I'm running Windows Media Center that comes with the Vista Ultimate package, and was wondering if there is a way to turn off the tivo like capabilities? i.e. I want to turn off the automatic recording to the hard drive to let you search back and forth like a tivo. I run on low space often and WMC always stops the tv with a msg saying low disk space. The way I am able to watch tv again is to stop the tv feed, then start it up again.

Is there a way to turn that thing off? All I want to do is watch tv lol. I rarely record anything so it's a useless feature for me.

The buffer for live TV is only 30 minutes, so you must have Vista installed on a really small partition if you are running out of space.

well i actually have it set to record tv on a storage drive, which ah...since then has run out of space as well lol. I need to reorganize my files but I can't do that till I get my external drive from my friend.

But you're still right since I plan to reinstsall Vista with a bigger partition (currently at 20gb) once I get my drive back as well.
