I have Windows MCE, and I have some questions about it... When I record a tv show, were would I be able to find it directly? I want to see how big the file is, and MCE won't tell me, so I need to find the file. I've searched for it by name, but that didn't work. Is there any way to save the files I record in a folder chosen by me?

And If I am watching TV, I can make the window smaller, and then I would want to keep the small window on top no matter what. So when I go to surf the internet, I can watch the TV in a window on the side. Is there anyway to do this?

I was looking everywhere in the web for exactly the same thing you are. It was annoying that the mce window went to the background. Fortunately, I went into almost every setting within mce and I found how to keep the window always on top.

Do the following within MCE:

Settings > General > Startup and Window Behavior > Media Center window always on top

In the same screen, you can also tell windows to start MCE automatically at Startup (right after booting) or to start with Windows XP.

You specify the drive where saved programs are recorded in Settings->Tv->Recorder->Recorder Storage.

Shows are generally saved under "%drive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents" so that any logged on user may access the files.

Shows are saved in the ".dvr-ms" file format.
