Windows Media Center Edition Wireless Connectivity?

I have recently taken an interest in purchasing/building a media solution to bridge the gap between my video and audio components and my PC. However, the arrangement of my living room requires that my television and stereo be on opposite ends of the room. A Windows Media Center box seems like the obvious solution, however, I have the following questions:

1. Is it possible to wirelessly connect my Television (DVD, PS2, XBox, etc.) to my stereo?

2. If yes, then please explain how and which hardware components are necessary.

3. Will Windows Media Center support this configuration? I'm not necessarily set on using Media Center if there are other cheaper/simpler solutions.

I currently have a wireless network set up with a few PC's running WinXP Pro and a Linksys router.

Thanks in advance.

Something like this might work if you're only interested in stereo sound. Of course, it has nothing to do with Windows Media Center.

If you want to transmit 5.1 audio or high-quality video wirelessly, you're out of luck. There isn't any wireless technology on the market that can support the bandwidth requirements of high-quality audio and video.
