I just rebuilt our HTPC and reinstalled Windows 7. Everything seemed to be running, but now when I try to use WMC 7 it keeps hanging after a few seconds. I'll load it up, and then within about 30 sec the little spinning wheel comes on and it locks up, no matter which menu or what I'm doing. I have to open up Task Manager to get out and close it.

The error menu it gives is this:

Description:

I'm not sure what to do with this or how to solve this. Is something corrupted? Do I have to reinstall again? What's causing this? It also won't detect my tv tuner within those first thirty seconds (I can't tell if it does after that, because it freezes up), even though the Ceton diagnostics show everything working fine.

*sigh* Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Here's the hardware/software:

Intel i5 750 CPU
Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 mobo
8 GB RAM
Intel X2 80 GB SSD
Corsair HX 620 watt PSU
Nvidia GTS 450
Windows 7 Professional

Yeah, it was a freshly burnt copy that I made myself from the old digital rivers promotion.

Anyone, any ideas?

So I tried uninstalling and reinstalling WMC 7, and that made it work for like a minute or two longer, and then it went back to the same pattern of hanging.

I found that if I just left it hanging it eventually would resolve (after around 5 min?), but then it only detects one of the 4 tuners. I'm not sure what's causing that problem...

If anyone has any thoughts about this error message, I'd still really appreciate the help!
