Windows Media & AVI Question

I'm trying to play avi files with windows media player, and some of them come out flipped upside down. Does anybody have a quick fix for this problem or know of any software I can use to try to flip it back the way it should be? Thanks.

how about turning the monitor upside down?
sorry, couldn't resist ....

well, never heard of that problem before ... are you sure it's not because they recoded the file upside down (on purpose)?

i have never tried this, but maybe it can do some tricks??
