Windows ME with Hercules Prophet II GTS 32meg.....

Has anyone had problems running a Hercules Prophet II GTS 32meg on Windows ME? Everytime I install the drives for the video card... then reboot... the system starts to boot normally, gets past "Verifying DMI Pool Data", then a scrolling multi-colored screen comes up and the system never loads Windows. I've tryed the latest Detonator 3 drivers (which are suppose to be ME compadable) with the same result. It works beautifully on Win98SE. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

did you try 5.22 or 5.32 driver? are you using AMD systems?

i am using Intel system and there is no problem using det3 driver.

I'm running an AMD Thunderbird 700 with 128megs of PC133 RAM. Are ther compadability issues between AMD and WinME?

actually it is a problem between the det3 driver with winme and amd

a lot of people using AMD system get errors when running det3 drivers. and also, people has been complaining that by using det3 driver in winme, they got the "protection" error when shutting down the machine.

so i would say if you worry, go back to 5.22 or 5.32 for now. they are still good, and wait for maybe det3 6.20 or so.

Thanks for the info. I actually just got sick of it and went back to Win98SE. Everything works great now. I'll just hold off for a while on installing ME.

Rayvin - sup etard. install v6.26. i'm pretty sure that it will fix your problem.
