Hello,
I was just wondering why my computer (Pentium III running Windows ME)is taking so long to shutdown. It runs very nicely and has no problem restarting. Also it shuts down fine in safe mode which makes me think that it has something to do with a device driver or process that is running in the background.
I recently cleared a ton of spyware off the computer and updated the computer with windows updates. This situation makes me question whether this long pause has anything to do with the "Windows IDE Hard Drive Cache Package" update which suposedly allows a delay in the shutdown process.
Any suggestions about how to get arround this problem or fix it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
