Windows ME System Restore Not Working

Hey all,
I am having a problem trying to restore windows to an earlier setup. I have tried numerous restore dates, and they all end up telling me that they cannot do it, and to try another date. I messed up trying to install a new radeon driver, so I just wanted to go back to my last known setting, and nothing! Anyone else have this problem and know a work around, or am I out of luck and just need to format and start over? 🙁

have you tried booting up in safe mode and removing the drivers?

Yes, I have booted into safe mode and deleted the drivers as well. No luck there either.
