Can you boot into safe mode? If not, a reload over the top may work. You might check the capacitors on the motherboard to see if they are puffed up on the top, or are leaking. You might run diagnostics for the brand of hard drive it is. Your drive could be making bad spots.

- Download Shareeza or Limewire
- Download Windows 2000 Advanced Server.ISO
- Burn it to CD
- Scan the CD for Virus'
- Insert the disk in the CD-ROM Drive
- Reboot using the CD, Install it and Enjoy.

you waste a whole cd if you burn it and the ISO contains a virus.
