Windows ME/SB Live problems

Windows ME does not like my Sound Blaster Live! Value. It freezes my computer. Anyone else here using WinME and a soundblaster Live Value and not having troubles? If so, which driver versions are you using?
Thanks for the input I hope someone can help me out here.

I have a SB Live! Value card and used WinME for 6 weeks before dumping it for Win2K. The only problem I had with sound was in certain parts of The SIM's. During musical interludes I'd get static. No other audio was affected. (Of course, that's the only game I play and even that is once in a blue moon.) All other audio, including mp3's was fine.

The drivers I used with WinME were sbl9xdrv1199.

I used Liveware 2.0, then installed Liveware 3.0 and then sblv9x Version 2.1.5.0
and everything is running OK. Make sure there are no IRQ conflicts and it is important to use the Win98 upgrade file especially if you are using a VIA chipset motherboard.

I also have a SB value & Win Me, and I havn't had any problems with my set-up.(so far}
I've been reading about quite a few problems with SB and some socket A boards, but with my KT7
system using Win Me, it works fine. You might try moving your SB card to another PCI slot,
it seems that it doesn't work right in certain slots(slots 3&5?) on some boards, at least according to someone who posted the reply he got from his mobo manufacturer regarding his SB problem .(sorry I can't remember which one{s})

The drivers that WIn Me loaded seem to be working fine, although I haven't played many games
here lately, since the clean install of Me
