Windows ME Error - Won't Print & Causes Constant other Problems

Hi Guys - I'm back.

Almost finished this new project and keep getting the following error under "Problem Devices" in Windows ME.

It refuses to allow me to print anything except either blank pages feeding through or garbled jargon.

Printer is a Canon BJC4300 almost new. Drivers, etc. have all been reinstalled and I've spent hours on the net getting the most up-to-date ones I can.

Running 2 HDD - one with Win98 and one WINME to see if that was the problem - happens running either drive.

Error message I get in problem devices isIRQ Holder to PCI Steering - Error Code 22

PCI\IRQHOLDER\60, 61 & 62

Can anyone tell me what an error code "22" is and how the hell do I fix it? I haven't been able to print for a week.

Occasionally I also get I/O Ports Error 378 when booting up.

Please help or provide some links guys as I'm way behind on things that need doing and ready to throw it out.

Had that same problem device code too. I could print thought.
had other problem with ME and ended up deleting it. Now my HD is frozen. Stay away from ME.

Check in system properties and see what IRQ share ...if there is a PCI device sharing the same IRQ as the printer that may be your problem.. LPT 1 should have its own IRQ...usually IRQ 7. If you have forced IRQ 7 with another device that may be your problem.. with so little known about your setup thats all I can suggest at this time. Good luck
