Windows ME and Earthlink DSL

Does anyone here use Earthlink DSL with windows millenium. If you do, what version of the total access software and winpoet are you using?

Winpoet 2.0 doesn't work? I am using win98se, but just wondering if you can use Winpoet 2.0.

That's what I want to know. Can winpoet2.0 work under windows me. I say one post where that person had problems...

IC... hmm, I don't know, coz' I don't have ME (whatever version) yet. But my guess is it should work, from what I heard from the tech support guy from Earthlink last time (that's his guess too).

You need RASPPPOE. It works under Win Me.

Hey guys, How is the Earthlink DSL service??? It finally arrived here in Milw. and signed up for it, can't wait......on DSL Reports they get pretty good reviews from fellow users, any problems with installation??? how long did it take from the time you signed up for it to the day ya logged on??? sorry for all the questions but like most people..... been waiting to long for this day to come.

I was kinda the early ones. I signed up like last sept or so. from the day i signed up till the day the guy came was like 20 days. took 20 mins to install. took another 5 mins to install the software myself, and it was up and running. it's that simple. nothing more, nothing less.

in the beginning the services was sometimes shaky. i remember the server went dead for 3 days or so. but since then it has been great. i think it was just at the beginning stage. now it is back to normal.

my speed is 768/128, i can get up to 80k/sec d/l, pretty good. i think they are having up to 1.5M d/l now? i am going to call the CSR later and check with the upgrade.

How do you use raspppoe if winpoet is already installed by earthlink's installer?

Maybe it just take over the job? or maybe you don't even have to install winpoet and just install the raspppoe
