Windows MCE Remote Control Problem - Suddenly stopped working... HELP!!!

I have Windows Media Center Edition and have a remote control (Microsoft) that I have been using without a single problem for almost a year now. All of a sudden yesterday, the remote stops working, what gives? Noe of the buttons are responding I have tried changing batteries in the remote and changing the USB connection on the receiver (a red light blinks once when reconnected). Does anyone know why this is happening? How do I resolve?
 
hmm. this thing could just be as simple as updating the software/drivers, or uninstalling then reinstalling the software or windows..
i think its still under warranty, their tech support would actually give more accurate advice than me, if its under warranty, its possible one of them went bad and you could have it replaced..
 
I don't recall ever installing any program/driver for the remote?

Does anyone have info as to how to go about contacting them? MS makes it almost impossible to find conact info on their website. BTW, I'm in Canada.
 
There have been quite a number of reports of MS MCE remotes just up and dying. Run a search at thegreenbutton.com (best of the MCE forums I know of).
