Windows Log-on

Why would Windows require me to log-on twice? I'm on a LAN at college, and when I start my computer, it asks for a password (I just hit enter). Suddenly, it now does this twice. After hitting enter, it reads the hdd and then asks for the password again. Then it proceeds to Windows. Any idea what could be causing this?

The first logon is for the Network and the second is for your Windows profile on that machine. Normally if the passwords match it just passes the network on to Windows and you never have to do that. Do a search for all PWL files on the machine and remove the one for your username.
