When I turn on my computer it goes through the bios stuff and whatever. But then it gets to a screen that says-
Windows XP Home Edition(Boot Screen)
Windows XP Home Edition

and it lets me choose which one I want, but if I leave it for about 20 seconds it automatically goes. It didnt use to be like this but now for some reason it is. Is there any way I can prevent it from doing that?

start...run... notepad c:\boot.ini

if it's not clear to you then post back. you can set the timer to 100000 seconds or just eliminate the dual option altogether.

Slightly easier method is to right click My Computer, choose Properties-->Advanced-->Startup and Recovery Settings.
