Possible to install it? I keep trying to install the latest version available from the site and it gives me a 1603 error. Something about x86. Guessing Live Messenger isn't supported by Vista x64?

Windows Live Messenger works on Vista 64. I'm running it right now. I don't know why you're getting that error though... Have you tried looking up the error number?
 
I got it to install now. The first three times it gave me the error, then I randomly tried to install it and it worked. Strange.
