Windows Live Messenger problem

Windows Live Messenger won't show up. I booted up one day and it was "gone". I've uninstalled, restarted, ran CCleaner, reinstalled, and it's still not showing up. When I CTRL+ALT+DEL, I can see the process but nothing's in my systray or taskbar.

I've tried Googling but haven't found any solutions.

have you looked at your event logs? Check services and see if another service is disabled that WLM also needs. Also run msconfig and see if something is disabled there. And, have you run some spyware cleaner recently, such as ad-aware or such? Sometimes those progs do more damage than good.
