Windows Live Messenger and others Crashing?!

I don't know what is going on with this and it just started up. Whenever I log into msn messenger it stays open for like 5 seconds and then I get the "Encountered an error and needs to close, send/don't send error report" message. I have no idea why this is happening and it happens on IE as well. I also just get random messages like that with other programs too, like on of the trend micro programs (PccHCMS) when I open it, and a new one just came up for DrWatson Postmortem Debugger, which I have no idea what it is and have never even heard of or installed to my knowledge. Things like Firefox work fine so far and I did a virus scan with Trend earlier in the day thinking that was a problem and picked up nothing. I haven't installed any knew programs within the last two or three days as far as I know and the only system change was me adding a second 500 gig hardrive in addition to the 80 gig that I put in when I built it. But that was at least a week ago and I have had no problems up until now. PLease help as this is getting very irritating. Thanks!
