Windows Live Mail issue --- Scrolling

I've been using WLM on my Win 7 system for a long time. I have it setup with a vertical split screen, accounts and mail on left, display message on the right. 90% of the time its fine, but occasionally scrolling the message display window become choppy and sluggish --rest of the system is fine. The only way I've found to resolve it - I think- is to reboot the system. If I simply close and reopen WLM the problem persists.

I prefer my system on 24/7 and rarely reboot, and find it annoying to do so. Any suggestions as to what is going on, and how to resolve it?
