hm.. the aerial view shows up as a black space for me. Road view comes out okay, but aerial view doesn't load the images (or doesn't load them properly)

I'll try it when I get home...

I don't understand these links, sometimes they show up right, sometimes they take me to an old picture, sometimes all the way zoomed out of the world. Is it because you guys are using Firefox and are copying the URLs directly? If you copy it from the address bar the link won't work for IE users.

What is the purpose of this if it cant be downloaded onto a laptop? If you were near a hotspot it would be ok but that isn't often for most of us.

What, you want to download the entire world and all its information?

they have a more current picture.

The *REAL* Spagetti Junction

Near Atlanta and 15 miles from my house (NE near exit 111)

The ACTUAL Mixing Bowl!!!

aka The Springfield Interchange, where I-95, I-495, I-395, Franconia Road, et al local roads all tossed together with local AND HOV lanes. Its been going for like 8 years and will be another few before its done.

After comparing my house on Google and Windows Live...they seem to use the exact same 3+ year old imagry....Can tell becaue my old car is in the picture. The Bird's Eye View isn't much more recent.

Or a specific area. A state or two maybe?

It's the exact same arial photo as Google Maps has. The car color patterns are the same in the parking lot on both.

resolution is slightly better in live.

but i prefer google simply cause i can enter a postcode (i'm in london) and get results. much more powerful search engine, even if the resolution or features may not be as great.

This thread is useless. None of the links work. Each one has a series of **** renders it useless. Don't tell me I'm the only one. Come on. I use Firefox.

I don't see how. What does Google do better? Every part about Live Local, especially directions, seems a lot easier to me.

Apparently the Share -> Copy to clipboard option is not there in FF, so I guess those people are copying the URLs from the address bar, which doesn't work. Oh well, not my fault. Use IE for this.

Some links from yesterday seem to work now. This is very cool.

I-75/I-375/M-3 Gratiot split in Detroit

My work(the building right in the center with all the intersecting crosses)
Damn, what is the problem here! It'd be helpful if you guys posted what browser you're using and what method you used to obtain the link.
