Windows Live Family Safety Filter Blocking Local Program

The windows live family safety filter is blocking a local program from connecting to a local sql database server. It doesn't allow me to add an exception to the program for that. I have added a ODBC data source for the local server but can't figure out why it is blocking it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Try what is here (it is how to block a site, but you also add sites to the Allow list same way)

unfortunatly it isnt blocking a site it is blocking a data connection to a sql server within the lan. You as far as I know can only add websites not programs or ports to be unblocked.

Ok I'll try that thank you. It's weird though the only thing that changed is the server os from 2000 to 2008.

The data server on the LAN should have a IP address. Add that address to the exception list.

@Corkyg usually when it detects a block on the internet it has a pop up that comes up and allows you to unblock it if thats not comming up do you thing adding it to the list will help?
