Windows laptop makers finally understand...

It's not clear from the details but it could have both an SSD and an HDD? An 80GB mSATA SSD + a 1TB HDD in a thin and light 13.3" chassis would be absolutely killer!

Unfortunately the glossy screen is a major negative - it's nearly impossible to use those lakeside. 🙁

OMFG just when I gave up on a Sandy Bridge notebook that had specs I want and started to lust after Llano.

Oh well, at least Llano will cost a lot less for somewhat similar gaming and "normal desktop" usage.

Maybe it is an mSATA SSD for the Intel SSD caching?

That LG Shuriken looks awesome. The only problem here is the price, which I doubt is going to be cheap.

It's a sexy piece of kit, no doubt; but the article was written up in Taiwan during Computex if I'm not mistaken - LG does not have any notebooks released for sale in the US currently nor was the LG P310 - the P330's predecessor - released in the US; we'll have to see if the "September release" includes North America or if it is released only in Asia.

Looks like an updated version of my old Sony SZ650 laptop. (I say old, only like 3 years or so, core2duo, 4gb ram, 160gb hdd). That laptop was awesome, and this one looks to continue that trend. The perfect laptop right there.

I just got a lenovo X220 12.5 inch laptop that has a SB i5 in it. it's blazingly fast, and has an IPS screen and gets about 8 hrs of battery life. Only thing is, no nvidia or ati graphics card.

Obvious troll is obvious. :colbert:

Same chiclet keyboard/layout, check
Made of something thats not plastic, check
Large trackpad, check
Single button trackpad /w most likely multitouch, check (trackpad more like pre-unibody macs)
Unibody-like design, check

The things that are different are its lcd hinges, off centered trackpad, and thinner bezel. I would say the thinner bezel is a welcome change.

The MBPs are great looking laptops, but haters don't like to admit it. Then when there's a Win7 MBP look alike, people go gaga over it. Give me a break.

I was blown away by the x220 with an i7 - 160GB SSD and 8GB RAM we got for one of our users. That thing is quick. Makes my laptop look like a speak and spell.

same, but I have i7 w/ SSD ... gets about 11~ hours with my 9 cell.

I would venture to guess this laptop will get 4-6 hours with a 6/9 cell battery, unless that GPU can be toned down power wise when running desktop apps.

sweet though.
