Today morning, I booted up my PC and it says that Windows wasn't shut down properly. So it says like Boot in Safe Mode, etc. and Boot Normally. I choose Boot Normally, and it loads the little Windows XP thing w/ the moving bar, and then once its done, it reboots again. And shows the message taht Windows wasnt shut down properly, then I chose Safe Mode, then it loaded, then froze after this one ".sys" file, and then rebooted, same thing again.

Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

Do you know which .sys file it froze at?

Try running at vga mode (tap F8 at boot till safe/boot menu comes up), then disable all drivers that aren't completely essential - ie
vga, sound, nic, etc.

What mobo?
If you are using nvata drivers for IDE, DONT disable those. If you are using MS drivers, then it should be ok.

Does your hard drive support s.m.a.r.t. monitoring? If so enable it in the bios and see if your bios reports your hard drive as bad.

I had the same problem when I didn't have enough power going into my computer.. weak psu/too many items plugged into the socket that the PSU is connected to.. Idont know if this is your problem but I had the same issue at a LAN party, until I got my own outlet, it wouldn't let me load windows

I think it was like mapa.sys or something similar. I'll check and tell you. I cannot boot into Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, or Boot Windows Normally.
