I just got an ATI 9600xt and am using the latest omega drivers. For some reason, windows keeps booting up in 640x480 resolution no matter how many times I try and change it. Anyone know how I can correct this?

#1: Omega drivers are hacked drivers. Try the standard NVidia drivers.

#2: If a video card won't start in any mode other than 640x480 then most likely it means that your AGP bridge isn't working. Windows can initialize the video card so it's defaulting to the "safe mode" VGA driver.

Did you install all the mobo drivers? You may need to re-install them. For Intel chipset mobos, Windows XP will install a generic AGP driver but it may not work properly. You should install the mobo drivers from the mobo manufacturer's website.

Hope this helps...
