Windows iTunes Sharing with VPN?

Hi all,

I'm using Windows XP Pro at home and I use iTunes to play my music. I would like to be able to listen to my music at work but I realize that the built-in sharing is only for local area network. I tried setting up a VPN connection from my work computer to my home computer. They are connected but iTunes at work still doesn't see the shared music at home. I opened up port 3689 to share already. Any ideas?

I didn't know itunes could play network files.

By default, as long as two computers are on the same subnet, one can stream music to the other computer.
So anyone knows a workaround for this?
