After SP3 installed I got a office 2000 error whenever my computer boots up, I get an error message saying "Office-This application must be installed to run. Please run the setup from where you originally installed the application". Now I try to install something (norton, office) and I get this error "The Windows Installer service cannot be accessed. This can occur if youre running windows in safe mode, or windows installer isn't correctly installed. contact your support personnel for assistance." I tried uninstalling office I got an error because it still uses windows installer.

I tried consoluting the microsoft knowledge base and tried downloading the windows installer clean-up and the windows installer v2 (gave me an error saying "the specified service already exists"). both gave the same errors as above. Also tried reinstalling SP3, didn't help.

I went to my office 2000 cd and was able to install the windows installer off the cd but i'm still getting these errors. This is a tuff one, please help.
