Recently, I can't seem to install software which uses the windows installer.
When I try to install a program I get an error 1304 or 1303 (Basically insufficient privileges to access directory or file). The thing is, I'm installing under the administrator account
. I've checked the permissions on the dir I'm installing in and I have full control. If I install the program to the default "program files" directory, everything goes fine.
If I try to install the same software under a power user account, it runs smoothly until the end when I get a "need to be logged in as admin" error which seems normal. What isn't normal is that the installation as a power user gets farther than as an administrator and I can install to any directory I want.
Any ideas as to what the problem could be?
Thanks.
