Windows installed reformatted 9tb drive array

My 9tb drive array (RAID 0) was formatted in ext4 and used for file storage in linux. I decided to install Windows on a new SSD for dual booting.

The drive array showed as Drive 0 unformatted in the Windows installation screen, while the new SSD shows up as Drive 1.

After I installed Windows I realized the 9tb ext4 partition was gone and replaced with a 300mb windows boot partition.

I have since booted into Ubuntu Live and am trying to get the data back.

What is the best way of recovering my ext4 partition without destroying anything?

Thanks in advance for the help!!

Always disconnect other drives when installing Windows 7 (or Windows 8, I guess).

This advice is late for you now, but it could be useful for other people.
