Windows Install cant see my hard drives

I have a computer running Windows 7 and I went to make a few upgrades to it.

I turned off my PC, disconnected power, and installed a new SATA HD ( i had a previous 640GB wd caviar black, i just installed a black 1TB ).

I also swapped out 3x2GB of DDR3 RAM for 4x2GB of faster DDR3 RAM.

During this time, I also wanted to do a fresh install of Windows 7. So i booted up the computer with the install CD and the installer now fails to find either of my two hard drives, including the one with the OS on it already installed. I get a message telling me to find the media that has the installed drivers for the HDD's.

Well, I dont have a disk with the drivers, i've never needed a disk with HDD drivers to install windows fresh off a new HDD so i wasnt prepared for this. And, Windows will not load now at all because it cant find the correct drivers (which i'm not sure is the problem because i've never needed to install drivers during installation before).

I am welcome to any suggestions anyone might have!

Basically, during installation at the beginning, windows cannot find either of my hard drives and i've tried resetting my BIOS as well.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: WD's website even says they do not provide drivers and its up to the mobo manufacturer to provide these.. i've tried inserting the mobo driver disk and it does not find the necessary drivers when installer scans the mobo CD

Can you go back to your original configuration and does it boot?

If so, try upgrading just the RAM and see what happens.
