Windows: Index file contents of only specific folders?

Now that I'm getting a little further on in my studies, I've got a whole bunch of files that cover many different topics that I often need to use as references. The directory structure and file names themselves are generally accurate, but sometimes the class notes are vague and a single topic can span multiple files and only use things like "part 1" and "part 2", so looking for something can require manually searching a bunch of files.

I know I can turn on an option to index file contents as well, but is it possible to index the contents of only the specific folder I'm interested in and have the default indexing options for all the other folders that Windows is monitoring, or do I have to index the contents of every single file and folder that is checked off in the "folders to monitor" box?

Not using the built in Widows Search feature. You can enable content indexing based on file type, but not location.

If you only want to search a specific folder, go to that folder in Windows Explorer and the search bar on the top right will only search within that folder.
