In a previous thread here, I was having problems with explorer taking forever to open. Turns out it was because Windows Image Acquisition service wasn't starting, so it was hanging trying to access the printer/scanner combo unit. Once I disabled the WIA service, explorer is fine. Of course now, my printer and scanner don't work. Any idea how to fix this? If I set the WIA service to auto or manual, it won't start.
In event viewer, I get a bunch of DCOM errors and MRxSmb warnings. All seem to be pointing to the WIA service...
Everything was fine 2 days ago. The only thing I can think of that changed in there was installing SP2.
HELP! I have a 6 week old baby and we need to print pictures
