Am I the only one who thinks that MS ought to have a windows server designed for the home? With Windows XP offering easy multiple user functionality and Microsoft focusing a lot of its energies on home networking, it would seem like there ought to be a server product for the home. This product would be able to store roaming profiles so that the WinXP clients wouldn't need to worry about having all the correct users. Having profiles (including my documents, mp3s, other audio/video, etc.) on a permenant site would allow users to roam around the house at different clients much more easily.
MS could easily neuter Win2k server to offer these features, really a subset of current server features. Also, business oriented parts of 2k server could be removed (e.g. Exchange, SQL Server, etc.) as to prevent use of "Home Server" in a business environment (something that MS seems to be very wary of).
